Spring 2005: Played in four dual matches in his first year as a Tiger, going 2-2, including a 1-0 mark at No. 4 singles and a 1-2 mark at No. 6...Did not play doubles.

Fall 2004: Was named to the Tiger 3.0 Club for having a GPA of 3.0 or higher...Went 4-3 in singles in his first semester as a Tiger...Teamed with fellow newcomer Garrison Pilant for a 1-1 mark in doubles at the Middle Tennessee Tournament before posting a 1-1 mark with senior Mark Finnegan at the Arkansas tournament.

Prep: Played prep tennis at Madison Central High School in Jackson, Mississippi...Played No. 1 singles helped his prep team to an undefeated Class 5A championship in 2003-04....A top 20 ranked player in the USTA Southern rankings, Bankester was the top ranked player in the state of Mississippi in 2004... An All-State honoree, Bankester was also honored a PopStar Award winner as one of the state's best prep student-athletes... Was also honored by The Clarion Ledger as an All-Metro honoree. ..As a junior, Bankester won the 5A boys singles title after finishing as the 5A runner up as a sophomore...Honor roll student...Was coached by Ray and Walker Sahag.
