2007 Fall: Finished his singles season 1-3, with his one victory coming at the Texas Invite (Austin, Texas, Nov. 2)...in doubles action, finished 3-2 partnered with Marcos Verdasco...the tandem made a run to the quarterfinals at the Texas Invite after a win over the Longhorn’s team of Kane-West/Schellenberg (9-7) in the round of 16...halted by Boise State’s Robertson/Werbeck (8-6) in the quarters.
2006-07: A versatile player for Oregon, appeared at every position in the lineup except No.1...finished his spring with a 7-12 singles record; No. 2 (1-1), No. 3 (2-4), No. 4 (2-0), No. 5 (2-3), No. 6 (0-4)...in Pac-10 play finished the singles season 0-3...his doubles record for the year was 9-13...spent the majority playing with Marcos Verdasco (0-6 at No. 1; 7-5 at No. 2)...also played with Mikael Myrhed (2-1) and Stephen Wiechert (0-1)...in Pac-10 action finished 2-6 with Verdasco..the tandem played at the No. 1 (0-5) and No. 2 (2-1) positions...in the fall completed singles action 4-5.
Before Oregon: One of the top juniors in Mexico, reaching a top five ranking in under 14’s...reached national doubles semifinal with Mexican Davis Cup player Alex Hernandez...qualified for Spain F16 Futures in 2005, but fell in first round to eventual champion Bruno Echagaray...a 2005 graduat of Miraflores Prep, played both soccer and tennis...was a top-five singles player and won various national doubles titles.
