JUNIOR (FALL 2003): Began the season rated 14th in the ITA preseason doubles rankings along with Tammy Encina...The tandem opened the fall with two wins at the adidas Collegiate Invitational, before falling in the semifinals to No. 17 Gordon and Rotondi of Florida...After falling in qualifying play at the ITA All-American Championships, the pair won two straight matches, including an 8-4 defeat of No. 47 Basile and Tomantis of Ole Miss to reach the quarterfinals of the consolation round...Teamed up with Melissa Schaub to pick up a win at the SEC Coaches Fall Classic...In singles play, Immink compiled a 4-2 record during the fall slate...Took home the consolation title of the “B” singles draw at the SEC Fall Classic...Posted wins over Kentucky’s Lara Maurer, Arkansas’ Megan Ferreira and Alabama’s Melissa Minor.

 

SOPHOMORE (2002-03): Made a big impact in doubles competition teamed with Tammy Encina, as the pair ran off 11 straight victories to begin their playing careers with each other...The duo finished the season ranked 33rd in the nation after compiling a record of 15-3...Clinched the doubles point for UT six times during the season...Notched two victories over ranked foes, including No. 23 Bunn and Pinchbeck of North Carolina and No. 29 Falk and Schmandt of Vanderbilt...Also played three matches with Crystal Cleveland during the dual match season, posting a 2-1 record...Competed in singles for the Lady Vols during five dual matches, registering two wins at the No. 6 position and one win at the No. 5 spot...Played doubles during the fall at the St. Mary’s Classic with Kentucky junior Danielle Petrisko in flight No. 3…The pair went 2-1 and reached the finals, where they lost to Zuccarini and Walgenbach of Purdue, 8-4...Recognized on the Lady Vol Honor Roll for outstanding academic achievement.

 

FRESHMAN (2001-02): Immink had a very busy autumn to kick off her career as a Lady Vol, playing in 19 matches…She finished the fall with a 12-7 record…Defeated her first ranked opponent at the Omni Hotels Southeast Regional Championships, upending No. 95 Megan Dunigan of Furman, 7-5, 6-3…Won the consolation tournament of the B draw at the adidas Invitational in September…Had a career-high five-match winning streak from Sept. 29 to Oct. 19…Immink saw limited playing time in dual matches because of injury…Still managed a 5-5 record in duals…Saw the majority of her action at the No. 4 and No. 5 slots, where she finished 1-3 and 3-2…She was also 1-0 at three singles…Gave a strong showing in doubles, especially with Cleveland, as the pair was a perfect 8-0 on the year…The duo was 4-0 in dual matches with three victories at the No. 2 spot…She and Cleveland won the B draw of the SEC Coaches Tournament in November by defeating Vanderbilt’s Blaszak and Menees, 8-5…Immink also teamed up with Brooke Cordell, Kim Gates, Breanna Kray and Ashley Robards, combining for an 8-7 record…Was undefeated at two doubles with a 4-0 mark…Finished 6-4 in doubles during dual match play and 10-3 in tournaments.

 

HIGH SCHOOL: Built up high-level international experience playing for Great Britain on the under-14 Europa Cup team…Helped her team beat Canada and Belgium…A singles semifinalist at the International Tennis Federation’s tournaments in Dublin and Cork…Won the ITF doubles tournament at Cork…Played the No. 1 position for King’s School.

 

PERSONAL: Immink is majoring in journalism…Aspires to play on the pro tour after college…Says representing her country has been her biggest thrill in sports so far…Lists her hobbies as music, sports and traveling…Has two siblings, Alex, 25, and Edward, 23…Majen E.
