SENIOR (FALL 2008): Continued her tradition of fall success, accumulating a 6-4 singles record to move her career tournament mark to an impressive 32-11...After dropping her initial contest, Orlin proceeded to win five straight from Sept. 20-28...Included in that spree were the first two victories over ranked opponents of her career...The first came in her final match at the University of Virginia Invitational where she downed No. 68 Jennifer Stevens from Virginia, 2-6, 6-2, 6-2...She then took out No. 36 Lauren Lui of Northwestern in straight sets, 7-6 (5), 6-3, in the quarterfinals of flight five action at the Furman Fall Classic.
JUNIOR (2007-08): Tied for the team high in singles wins during her junior campaign with a record of 19-15...Was named the team's Most Improved Player...Earned a spot on the 2008 SEC Spring Academic Honor Roll...Played mostly at the No. 3 spot in the lineup, where she posted a 7-10 mark but also saw action at the second and fourth positions...Tallied a 4-6 mark in doubles play...Orlin was primarily paired with Jennifer Meredith during the spring season, fashioning a 4-3 record when paired with the rookie...Following a stellar fall campaign, she tallied a 9-13 record in dual-match play...Helped UT pick up a 4-0 victory over Illinois in the opening round of the NCAA Tournament, crusing to a 6-0, 6-1, win over Marisa Lambropoulous in her singles match...Posted a team-best 10-2 singles record during the fall, including flight titles at two tournaments...Participated in just four doubles matches, putting up a 2-2 record with partner Jennifer Meredith...Earned three consecutive victories en route to a flight eight championship at the St. Mary's Classic...Reeled off 10 straight games in the title match against Linzee Mabry of North Carolina, winning the match, 6-0, 6-1...Continued her hot streak with three more wins at the Furman Fall Classic, claiming the flight six title...Moved her winning streak to seven at the ITA Southeast Regional Championships before being defeated by No. 82 Laura Gioia of Furman...Closed out the fall on a high note, winning three of four contests at the SEC Coaches Tournament, Nov 1-4.
SOPHOMORE (2006-07): Split time between the four and five positions in the singles lineup, amassing a total record of 22-13...Posted a nearly identical 21-12 mark in doubles play...Went 9-4 when paired with Caitlin Whoriskey, including a 6-1 mark in dual-match play...Was particularly dominant from Jan. 27-Feb. 24, tallying five wins in both singles and doubles play during that span...Closed the season out strong, winning six of her final eight matches in both singles and doubles...Went 6-1 in doubles play during the month of April...Played a large role in helping UT reach the SEC Tournament semifinals, defeating Paulina Bigos and Megan McGavock in the Lady Vols' triumphs over Alabama and South Carolina, respectively...Recorded her team-high fifth, match-clinching win of the year with a 6-2, 6-4 win over Agostina Santoro in UT's NCAA Tournament First Round triumph over Tulsa in Nashville, Tenn....Also posted a successful fall campaign in 2006...Notched a 6-3 singles record and tallied a 4-3 mark in doubles...Opened the year by combining efforts with Ghizela Schutte to win the third flight doubles title at the St. Mary's Classic in Knoxville...She was also able to reach the semifinals in singles play at the same tournament as well as the Furman Fall Classic just two weeks later...Advanced through two qualifying rounds at the ITA Southeast Region Indoor Championships to reach the main singles draw before bowing out in the Round of 64.
FRESHMAN (2005-06): Primarily played at the fifth singles position during her rookie season, although she also saw time at the four and six spots...Ended the year with an overall singles record of 18-14 and 11-24 in doubles play...Got off to a quick start in her initial collegiate campaign, winning eight of her first nine singles matches...Also played extremely well from Feb. 18 - March 26, as she collected nine singles wins in 12 contests during that span...Was set to play for the flight two singles title after winning three consecutive matches at the Freeman Memorial Championships, but inclement weather caused the final day of action to be cancelled...Took home a third-place finish in doubles at the St. Mary's Classic, teaming up with sophomore Ghizela Schutte in the third flight...Won her first four singles matches as a Lady Vol, claiming top honors in the sixth flight of the St. Mary's Classic with a 6-1, 6-4 victory over Blakely Offutt of Wake Forest...Finished third at the Furman Fall Classic with two victories in the sixth flight...Along with Melissa Schaub, advanced to the final round of the SEC Coaches Tournament before falling to Georgia's Darya Ivanov and Evgenia Subbotina, 8-5...Finished the fall with a 4-1 singles record and a 6-4 mark in doubles.
HIGH SCHOOL: Earned six varsity letters in tennis at Ransom Everglades School...Was team captain for two years...Won the Florida state singles championship in 2002, 2003 and 2005...Also won state doubles title in 2001, 2002, 2003 and 2005...In addition, her team captured the state title in 2000, 2003 and 2005...Achieved a top-20 national ranking in 18's singles, a top-10 ranking in 16's singles and a top-five ranking in 14s singles...Claimed Winter Supernationals doubles (14s) and U.S. Southern Singles (18s) titles...Was named first-team All-Dade County...Competed in intersectionals with Team Florida Girls 18's...Was a member of Best Buddies and SADD.
