SOPHOMORE (FALL 2008): Put together a solid fall campaign during her second season at Rocky Top, notching a 5-6 singles record, as well as a team-best 10-3 mark in doubles play...Opened the semester on a high note, defeating the first ranked opponent of her career in her first match, taking out No. 100 Nadine Fahoum from Old Dominion, 4-6, 6-3, 6-4, at the University of Virginia Invitational...Accumulated double-digit doubles victories despite playing with three different partners over the course of the semester...Teamed up with Jennifer Meredith to sweep through the UVa Invitational with three wins...Followed up that performance with a 2-1 record at the Furman Fall Classic...Joined forces with Maria Sorbello at the ITA Southeast Regional Championships where the duo tallied a 3-1 record and advanced to the quarterfinals of the tournament...Finished the fall with a 2-1 mark at the SEC Fall Coaches' Classic while playing alongside Zsófia Zubor.
FRESHMAN (2007-08): Named to the 2008 SEC Freshman Academic Honor Roll...Finished her rookie season with a solid 18-13 singles record to go along with a spectacular 26-11 mark in doubles...Was paired with Ghizela Schutte for most of the season, amassing a 23-11 record with the senior, including a 16-9 mark in dual-match play...The duo primarily competed at the second position in the lineup, where it went 16-8...Opened the spring portion of the schedule with three consecutive singles wins in matches against MTSU, Illinois and Purdue...Went on a 5-1 tear from Feb. 17-March 19...Helped UT reach the quarterfinals of the SEC Tournament in Auburn, Ala., with wins in both her singles and doubles contests against Mississippi State...Although the team fell to No. 12 Vanderbilt in the next round, Alda and Schutte won at the second doubles spot, 8-4, over the Commodore combo of Caroline Ferrell and Catherine Newman...Played a big role in UT's 4-0 triumph over No. 36 Illinois in the NCAA Tournament First Round, winning in both singles and doubles...She teamed with Schutte to defeat the Fighting Illini duo of Leigh Finnegan and Marisa Lambropoulous, 8-2, before taking out Anni McCarthy, 7-6 (2), 6-3, at the sixth singles position...Completed her initial semester at Rocky Top with a 6-4 record in singles play and a 10-2 mark in doubles action...After dropping the first singles contest of her career, she proceeded to notch five straight victories...Three of those triumphs came at the Furman Fall Classic, where she garnered flight seven title honors...Joined forces with Schutte to claim a trio of doubles victories at the SEC Fall Coaches' Classic...The tandem opened the tournament with a stunning 9-7 triumph over the No. 6-rated Auburn combo of Alex Haney and Melissa Koning.
HIGH SCHOOL: Earned distinction as a five-star recruit from TennisRecruiting.net...Also was rated as the second-best player in Texas, fourth-best in the Gulf States and 16th nationally...Claimed 2007 Texas 5A State Singles Championship...Named 2007 High School All-American by the National High School Tennis All-American Foundation...Picked up both the singles and doubles titles at the 2006 United States Tennis Association National Open in Montgomery, Ala...Also led her high school squad to three consecutive district championships in 2004, 2005 and 2006.
