Cantu was a two-year letter-winner at Chavez High School... earned Most Valuable Player honors during his senior year in both tennis and swimming... finished second in district competition in men's doubles... was a member of the National Honor Society.

Cantu is the son of Roy and Lisa Cantu... has three brothers and one sister... was born on Aug. 5, 1987... majoring in nursing and mathematics.
