AT WASHINGTON: Joins fellow junior Alex Slovic as UW's No. 1 doubles team...duo ranked No. 5 in 2005 fall preseason rankings, a school-record...pair also won the 2005 ITA Regional Championship...should compete for a spot atop the singles lineup this year as well.

2004-2005 (Sophomore): Earned first-team Pac-10 All-Academic honors...with Alex Slovic finished the season with a final ITA doubles rank of 17th and had a season high ranking of No. 15...compiled a doubles record of 20-14 including a 12-6 mark with Slovic...went 14-12 in singles...11-9 in dual singles action, playing mainly in the No. 4 spot where he was 5-7...went 2-1 in the No. 2 slot and 4-1 at No. 3...was 1-1 against ranked opponents in singles and 6-3 against ranked doubles opponents...advanced to the second round of the NCAA Doubles Championship with Slovic...duo was ousted by third-ranked Sam Warburg and KC Corkery of Stanford (6-3, 6-4)...also fell to Warburg and Corkery in the Pac-10 Doubles final (8-6)...the Chu/Slovic duo pulled an upset over third-ranked Warburg and Corkery in a Pac-10 dual match, a key victory that helped the Huskies defeat Stanford for the third time in school history...with Slovic defeated the No. 11 team of Patrick Briaud and Conor Niland to help the Huskies notch a win over No. 29 Cal...in singles, upset 84th-ranked Dontia Haines to help the Huskies clinch a dual win over San Diego State....won the singles consolation bracket at ITA Regionals defeating Dalibor Ptak of Hawaii in a close three setter (6-4, 0-6, 7-6(5)).

2003-2004 (Freshman): Third on the team in combined singles and doubles wins with 36...compiled an 18-12 singles record and was 13-8 in dual play...started the season mainly at No. 4 singles where he went 8-2, before moving up to No. 3 singles and earning a 4-6 record...began dual play with a seven-match win streak...earned big win over Harvard's No. 77 Cliff Nguyen in UW's 4-2 victory in the National Team Indoors...won 12 of the first 15 matches of his college career...picked up highest-ranked win with a straight-set upset of UCLA's Chris Lam, who finished No. 66 in the final rankings...notched four wins in Pac-10 play, all but one at the No. 3 singles spot...teamed with Nick Weiss and Alex Vlaski to go 18-11 in doubles play...finished 27th in final ITA doubles rankings with Vlaski...after midseason lineup shift, upset No. 10 duo from TCU in first match with Vlaski...earned four wins over doubles teams ranked in the ITA top 20...earned an NCAA Doubles Championships berth with Vlaski, but lost in the first round.

Juniors/High School: Ten-time Junior National Canadian champion...member of Canadian Junior National Team...ranked No. 1 in both singles and doubles in Canadian junior rankings...played in many ITF junior tournaments.

Personal: Daniel Christopher Chu...parents are Athena and Keith Chu...brother David, a freshman, is a Husky teammate...besides tennis, enjoys soccer, playing the piano and video games.
