Excellent doubles player. 2005-06/JUNIOR: Second team All-CAA Doubles selection… Joined with teammate Francesc Lleal to become the most prolific doubles pair in school history with 47 wins, passing Jonas Elmblad and Boris Kodjoe. Named Second Team All-CAA... Won both his singles matches during the Rams' NCAA Tournament run, including a 6-1, 6-2 defeat of Pierre Mouilon in VCU's 4-2 victory over #23 Mississippi State (May 13) in the first round... Also teamed with Francesc Lleal to win both of his doubles stints in the tournament... Paired with Lleal, provided a pivotal doubles victory against #31 Minnesota in the Rams' 4-3 win (Feb. 13)... Posted an impressive 20-4 overall singles record, including a season-best 10 wins at the number four position … Registered a combined 18-4 mark in doubles play, including a 17-4 record with fellow Barcelona native Francesc Lleal as VCU’s number three doubles tandem and a 1-0 record with Pedro Nieto as the Rams’ top pair … Won his first eight singles matches and his first nine doubles bouts during the spring ... Helped VCU to its NCAA Team Championship first round win over cross-town rival Richmond, defeating the Spiders’ Matt Stillwagon in straight sets (6-0, 6-0) … Paired with Lleal to defeat Richmond’s Matt Stillwagon and Ryan Goldsmith, 8-4, in doubles, also during the NCAA Team Championship … Received the CAA’s Doubles Team of the Week award on March 9 along with Lleal after the pair downed second-ranked Baylor’s combo of Reiner Neurohr and Igor Lovrak three days earlier ... Clinched the Rams’ ninth consecutive CAA tournament championship with a 7-5, 6-4 triumph over Old Dominion’s Niklas Oskarsson at number five singles during VCU’s 4-2 win over the Monarchs, May 25 ... Teamed with Lleal for a crucial 9-7 victory at number three doubles to help the Rams defeat  19th-ranked Tulane by a 4-3 score in the semifinals of the Blue-Gray National Collegiate Classic, March 13.
