GENERAL: Joined the VCU men’s tennis program at the beginning of the 2005 spring semester... Accomplished doubles player. 2006-07/JUNIOR: Second Team All-CAA in doubles... Teamed with junior Emil Lindgren to collected a team-best 17 wins, eighth-most in school history... Also crafted an 11-4 record in singles play, including 9-2 in dual matches... Won final five singles matches of the regular season, including a 6-0, 6-0 rout of Ali Ital of Hofstra in the CAA Tournament Quarterfinals (April 20)... Scored a key win at third doubles, defeating Sergeev and Corace of No. 38 Virginia Tech in a 4-3 VCU win (April 11)... Teamed with Lindgen to win last five and eight of final nine doubles matches of the regular season... Moved up to the No. 1 doubles court, along with Lindgen, to defeat Winthrop’s Santos and Knorr (Feb. 18). 2005-06/SOPHOMORE: Opened the spring season with six straight singles wins... Finished with a 10-4 record in singles play, as well as a 14-8 doubles mark... Teamed with Emil Lindgren to stage a rally from a 7-1 deficit at third doubles to clinch the doubles point in VCU’s CAA Championship match with Old Dominion (April 23)... Won all three doubles stints in that CAA Tournament... Provided a 6-2, 3-6, 10-6 victory over No. 8 Baylor’s Jon Reckewey at sixth position (Feb. 5)... Helped the Rams defeat No. 54 SMU with his 6-0, 6-3 pasting of Oivind Alver at fifth singles (March 5)... Teamed with Arnaud Lecloerec to reach the round of 16 of the Mideast Regionals doubles draw with an 8-5 win over Furman’s Ben Pauluhn and Andy Sobczyk (Oct. 20). 2005/FRESHMAN: Finished the regular season with a 5-10 overall mark ... Went 1-2 against regional competition ... Missed the last few games of the season after spraining his ankle in the North Carolina match ... Returned to compete in the Colonial Athletic Association Tournament, but had a difficult time regaining his prior form ... Primarily played number-five singles during the spring.
