GENERAL: Enters 2007-08 season as Rams’ active leader in singles victories (58)...Joined the VCU men’s tennis team at the beginning of the 2005 spring semester ... A consistent performer each of the last three seasons. 2006-07/JUNIOR: Second Team All-CAA in singles... Posted second straight 20-win season in singles play with his team-best 21-5 campaign...Was 13-3 in dual matches, including 4-1 at No. 4, and 5-0 at Nos. 5 and 6 combined... Went 3-0 at Blue-Gray Classic in Montgomery, Ala. to lead the Rams to a 2-1 finish. Survived three-set battles with Christian Rojmar of Texas Tech (4-6, 6-4, 6-0) and Ross Cunningham of Tulsa (6-2, 5-7, 6-4)... Strung together a 10-match winning streak midway through the season... Won final 10 singles bouts of the season... Defeated Richmond’s Brett Waikert in the first round, 6-0, 6-1 of the NCAA Team Tournament to help VCU to a victory... Opened the spring season by winning first six singles matches... Excelled at sixth position, posting a sparkling 10-0 mark... Dominated Darrin Cohen of then No. 1 Virginia, 6-0, 6-1 at sixth position in a narrow Rams’ loss (1/25)... Went 3-1 in singles during the Blue-Gray Classic in Montgomery, Ala., including a 6-1, 6-3 victory over Notre Dame’s Patrick Buchanan in the championship match (3/19)... After dropping the first set, ripped off 6-1 and 6-3 wins in the final two to rally past Ned Samuelson of No. 4 in a 4-3 VCU victory (3/29)... Won both of his singles contests in the Rams’ victorious run through the CAA Tournament. 2005/FRESHMAN: Registered an outstanding 16-5 overall record this spring, including a 13-4 mark on the number-six court ... Captured a hard-fought, three-set win over No. 36 South Alabama’s Mark Gellard to help the 44th-ranked Rams hand South Alabama its second-straight upset.
