Tied for 50th in the preseason doubles rankings with partner David Loewenthal ... went 16-6 in fall singles play and 7-5 in doubles ... won three straight to advance to the finals of his singles flight and won two in a row with partner Andrew Simpson to advance to the finals of their doubles flight at North Carolina’s Kickoff Classic ... won four straight to advance to the finals of his singles flight and split a pair of doubles matches with Loewenthal at the Virginia Invitational ... went 3-1 in singles play at Southeastern Collegiate Invitational losing in the finals to teammate Mike Murray ... split a pair of singles matches in pre-qualifying play and beat #46 Jimmy Haney and Pete Streor from Texas, with Loewenthal, in qualifying doubles at the All-American Championships ... won three straight matches in qualifying play, including a win over Duke’s Peter Shults, at the Regional Championships to advance to the singles main draw and split a pair of doubles matches with Loewenthal to advance to the quarterfinals.

Earned All-ACC honors … finished the year with a 28-11 singles record, tying for ninth place on the single-season school records … went 15-5 in dual singles play, including a 13-4 mark at the No. 5 position … beat Avery Ticer in straight sets Feb. 16 in 5-2 upset win over No. 15 Minnesota, beginning 10-match win streak in singles play … ranked as high as 27th nationally in doubles with partner David Loewenthal … teamed up with Loewenthal to upset the 20th-ranked duo from Virginia Commonwealth 8-6 Feb. 15 in the Demon Deacons' 5-2 victory over the 41st-ranked Rams … handed the No. 51 doubles team of Roger Anderson and David Wright an 8-6 loss in Wake's 4-3 win over No. 29 Georgia Tech March 3 … topped 58th-ranked doubles team of Xavier Luscan and Rodrigo Laub 8-4 March 30 in Wake's 6-1 thrashing of No. 50 Florida State … finished the year with a 27-10 doubles record, playing all but one doubles match with Loewenthal … played all but one doubles match at the No. 1 position in doubles, ending the spring with a 14-7 record, including a 6-2 mark in conference action ... pounded out a 12-5 singles record in the fall, capped off by winning three matches in two days to qualify for the ITA Region II Championships and then beating his first round opponent before falling in the Round of 32 … advanced to the quarterfinals of the Southern Collegiate Championships Division II Singles … won three straight singles matches to qualify for the ITA All-American Championships in Stone Mountain, GA … teamed up with David Loewenthal in doubles to steamroll a 13-3 fall record, including an incredible run through Regional Championships where they won three matches in two days to qualify for the main draw and then proceeded to win three more matches in two more days to advance to the semifinals, upsetting the top-seeded and eighth-ranked Georgia Tech duo, Anderson and Wright, along the way.

Second on the team in singles victories with a 27-11 record … 16-7 mark in dual matches, going 6-4 at No. 5 and a perfect 6-0 at No. 6 … went 5-2 against ACC opponents … won 12 straight singles matches to begin the spring season, before falling to Joel Spicher at No. 3 Duke Mar. 28 … put together a 12-14 doubles record, going 3-4 with teammate David Berè before hooking up with partner David Loewenthal and winning six out of 11 ... compiled a 10-3 record in the fall ... “B” flight finalist at Bell South Mobility Collegiate Classic in Lafayette, LA.

1999-2000 - Freshman
