 Ryan Tomlinson

Entering his fourth season as an assistant coach at Western Michigan, Ryan Tomlinson has become a key part of the Bronco women’s tennis program.

In his first season (2002-03) as the full-time women’s assistant coach, Tomlinson helped guide a team that featured five newcomers to a 7-2 Mid-American Conference record and a third place overall record.  The Broncos captured second place last season.

Tomlinson spent the 2001-02 season as a student assistant for both the men’s and women’s teams at Western Michigan.  He helped each team finish third in the Mid-American Conference and advance to the MAC tournament semifinals.

As a student-athlete at WMU from 1997-2001, Tomlinson finished as one of the best players in Bronco history.  His 179 career victories rank him No. 7 on the WMU all-time wins list.   He finished his career playing 301 matches, the second most in Western Michigan history.  Tomlinson also teamed with Steve Pillon to become the all-time winningest doubles team (88) in WMU history.  A two-time All-MAC selection, Tomlinson was a part of two MAC championship teams and two NCAA tournament squads.
