Florence, S.C.----The 25th-ranked Francis Marion University women’s tennis team did not drop a set as they collected a 9-0 victory over number 40 Wingate University Tuesday at the Kassab Courts. The Patriots (10-1 overall) lost only nine games in three doubles matches before sweeping the six singles contests over Wingate (9-3 overall).
 
Francis Marion senior Jitka Gavdunova (Vejprty, the Czech Republic), ranked ninth nationally, and 17th-ranked junior Mona Blauen (Cologne, Germany) both won by 6-1, 6-1 scores at the top two singles positions. Blauen is unbeaten in singles play this season.
