2007-08 (Senior) FALL-Played proffessional tournaments during the fall...Did not participate with MSU during that time.

2006-07 (JUNIOR):
Continued to be one of State’s top performers during his junior season...Ended the season ranked 41st nationally.
FALL—Led the team with a 12-5 singles record during the fall...Four of his wins came against top-100 opponents while four of his losses were to opponents ranked in the top-30 nationally...Reached the finals of the MTSU Blue Raider Invitational (Murfreesboro, TN) and the semifinals of the ITA Southeast Regional Championships (Lexington, KY)...Received an automatic bid in the main draw of the ITA All-American Championships (Tulsa, OK)...Went 4-5 in doubles matches during the fall...Three wins came at the ITA Southeast Regionals with Philippe Frayssinoux where the pair reached the quarterfinals.
SPRING—Had a solid spring playing #1 singles for the Bulldogs...Went 10-8 in dual matches...Went 5-5 in SEC play, winning four straight against conference opponents at one point during the season...Had wins over UAB, Louisiana Lafayette, South Alabama, Nevada and UNLV in nonconference play. Had SEC wins against South Carolina, Auburn, Alabama, Kentucky and Vanderbilt... Clinched UAB and Vanderbilt matches... Finished the season with a 14-15 doubles record...Finished the year ranked 42nd in doubles with Philippe Frayssinoux...Went 9-7 in dual matches and 4-3 in conference play with Frayssinoux...Knocked off three ranked opponents playing with Frayssinoux. Qualifyed for NCAA Singles Championship but did not play due to injury.

2005-06 (JUNIOR):
Emerged as one of the Bulldogs' top players during the season...Earned second-team, All-SEC honors...Finished the season ranked 66th nationally.
FALL—Went 8-5 in singles during the fall and 1-4 in doubles...Notched three wins over top 100 players and had a string of five consecutive victories...Highlight of the fall was at the ITA All-American Championships (Tulsa, OK) where he won three straight qualifying matches to advance to the main draw, before falling to an eventual semifinalist...Reached the Division A quarterfinals at the Crimson Tide Invitational (Tuscaloosa, Ala.)...Lone doubles win came against Florida in Flight 1 of the Gator Invitational (Gainesville, FL).
SPRING—Compiled a 7-11 dual-match record playing primarily at the #1 spot for the Bulldogs...Won five matches in SEC play including a win over an Arkansas player ranked 13th nationally... Ranked as high as 74th during the spring season and ended the season ranked 66th...Had the clinching point in two matches for MSU (against Alabama and South Alabama)....Reached the round of 16 of the Southeastern Conference Indoor Championships to open the spring...Went 4-11 in doubles matches during the spring...Clinched the doubles point for MSU against UAB to open the dual match season.

2004-05 (SOPHOMORE):
Produced 8-14 in singles and 10-13 doubles records in his first season, playing at the top of the Bulldog lineup.
SPRING—Went 8-12 in singles and 10-13 in doubles during dual match play in his first semester of competition at MSU...Was 4-7 in singles, primarily at the #1-2 positions in the lineup...Notched three wins over top 100 players during SEC play...Despite a 1-8 record at the #1 position Bjelica compiled a 7-4 mark at the #2-3 positions...Had wins against Kentucky, Auburn and Alabama to help MSU win all three matches en route to their 5-0 SEC start...In doubles, Bjelica went 4-7 in the SEC and had wins over a Georgia duo ranked 25th nationally to help MSU defeat #7 Georgia on the road...Also knocked off an Arkansas doubles team ranked 57th nationally to help the Bulldogs defeat the Razorbacks in the first round of the SEC Tournament (Athens,GA).

2003-04 (FRESHMAN):
Sat out the 2004 spring season.

PRE-MSU:
Attended IX Belgrada Gimnasium (1998-2002) in high school...Was a finalist of the Yugoslovian National Junior Championship in 2002...Also made the finals of the ITF Grade 4 tournament in Novisad in 2001.

PERSONAL:
Ivan Bjelica was born February 15, 1984, in Belgrade, Serbia and Montenegro...The son of Srdjan and Jasminka Bjelica...Likes the professional talents of Alberto Costa and Pete Sampras...Plays basketball and billiards, and enjoys going out with friends, in his spare time...Majoring in business administration at MSU.
