2008-09 (Junior Season) First-team All-Big Ten ... during 2008 fall schedule, had a successful campaign advancing to the final of both a regional and national tournament ... in first national tournament, the 2008 D'Novo/ITA All-American Championships (Oct. 3-5), advanced to the Round of 16 in the singles main draw ... in doubles action of the tournament, paired with senior Bryan Koniecko and advanced to the Round of 16 before dropping an 8-4 match to the nation's third-ranked duo of Bram ten Berge and Jonas Berg ... in next competition at the 2008 Wilson/ITA Midwest Regional (Oct. 16-20), hosted by Ohio State, advanced to the singles final after winning five-consecutive matches to try to defend his singles title from a season ago ... faced teammate Koniecko in the final of the regional championship, but came up short, losing 7-6, 2-6, 6-3 ... received an automatic selection for the singles tournament at the ITA National Indoors courtesy of the final appearance ... at the 2008 ITA National Intercollegiate Indoor Championships (Nov. 6-9), won four-consecutive singles matches against some of the best talent in the nation to advance to the final of the championships ... en route to the final, Kronauge upset the No. 6-ranked player in the nation, Arnau Brugues of Tulsa in the semifinals in straight sets 6-4, 6-2 ... in the final, once again faced teammate Koniecko and lost in three sets 6-2, 5-7, 6-3 to become the runner-up of the singles championship ... the all-Buckeye final was only the second time in the history of the tournament two teammates faced each other in the singles final ... finished his fall campaign with an 11-4 overall record in tournament play ... moving to the spring schedule, Kronauge picked up where he left off in the fall, winning his first six of seven matches in singles in straight sets ... ranked as high as No. 6 in the nation in singles in the ITA polls ...
