THIS SEASON:
Andrew Park enters his senior season at USC... Ranked No. 22 in the ITA preseason singles rankings and No. 60 in doubles (with partner Prakash Amritraj)... Recorded a 9-4 record in the fall... Reached the quarterfinals of the ITA Regional Championships and the finals of the SCTA Championships before falling to Tobias Clemens of UCLA for the title.
2001:
Park played at No. 1 as a junior and collected a 29-10 overall record, 15-7 mark in dual matches and 6-2 record in Pac-10 matches... He earned a No. 18 final national singles ranking and garnered his first ITA All-American honor... Was also named to the All-Pac-10 team... He also received numerous academic accolades; Pac-10 All-Academic first team, Verizon All-Academic Region VIII All-American first team and Verizon Academic All-American second team... He began the season with a personal record of 13-straight match victories and two tournament championships, winning the SoCal Intercollegiate Championship title and the ITA Region VIII South Championship for the second-straight year... He was honored as the ITA November Player of the Month... Only lost four matches during the season prior to suffering a sprained ankle against Stanford on April 7... Park did not compete at the Pac-10 Tournament as a result of the injury... He competed in the NCAA Singles Championship but fell to Lesley Joseph of Georgia in the first round... In doubles, Park played the majority of the dual matches with partner Damien Spizzo... The pair compiled a 11-8 overall record primarily at No. 2... He also played doubles matches with Parker Collins (0-1), Daniel Langre (0-1) and Ruben Torres (0-1).
2000:
Park began the fall as one of the most highly touted players in the country, ranked as high as No. 4 in the preseason polls ... Honored as a GTE Academic All-American second team selection ... He completed the season with a 29-13 singles record and No. 86 national ranking ... In November he won the ITA South Region Championship and received an automatic berth to the ITA Championships in February ... He won his first 12-of-13 matches before the start of dual match play ... Beginning the spring season at the No. 2 position, he struggled with a 5-7 record through February ... He was moved to the No. 3 spot briefly and quickly regained confidence to finish the regular season winning 11-of-13 matches ... He reached the second round of singles competition at the Pac-10 Tournament, and the semifinals in doubles ... He, and partner Parker Collins, played at the No. 3 doubles spot and finished with a 15-13 overall record (12-11 in dual matches) ... The pair advanced to the semifinals of the Pac-10 Tournament before falling to Carter and Eisinga of Oregon.
1999:
Park showed why he is considered a rising star as a 1999 freshman, leading USC in victories and posting a 24-10 overall record, 17-6 in duals ... He made the 1999 All-Pac-10 second team ... He ended the year tied for No. 81 in the national rankings ... He played both No. 2 and No. 3 singles, where he went 11-4 and 6-2, respectively ... In the fall, he made the semifinals of the ITA Regionals and the quarterfinals of the Southern California Tennis Association Tournament ... In doubles, Park went 13-11 overall and 13-10 in duals ... He mostly played with Gregg Hill at the No. 3 slot and the duo went 11-4.
PREP EXPERIENCE:
Park is a 1998 graduate of San Marino (Calif.) High ... He was a four-year varsity player who was named CIF Southern Section Player of the Year as a senior ... He compiled a 192-3 regular-season record as a prep ... He won the section title as a senior and was a finalist as a freshman and sophomore ... In 1998 he was also named the CIF Player of the Year after earning his third All-CIF first team honor ... He was named to the all-section first team in his freshman and sophomore campaigns and was the Rio Hondo League MVP as a freshman, sophomore and junior ... Andrew was the team MVP all four years in high school ... The 1998 CIF Southern Section singles champion, he led his team to two CIF Division VI titles ... He was the Rio Hondo League champion in his freshman and sophomore years ... Park also played for the USTA National Team for two years ... He was the 1994 USTA 14-and-under national singles champion and repeated as the USTA 18-and-under champion in 1998 ... In 1998, he was also the 18-and-under Easter Bowl singles and doubles champion.

Andrew Park was born on January 2, 1980 in San Marino, Calif. ... He is the son of Brian and Sharon Park ... His older brother, Steve, played baseball at Stanford ... He is a biology major who would like to continue playing tennis professionally or enter the field of sports medicine upon graduation.
