2002-03 -- Joanna Furdyna was limited to just two matches in the fall after injuring her shoulder at the Lady Razorback Invitational in Fayetteville, Ark..in the spring, teamed up with Danielle King in the No. 2 spot to go 3-2 with a .500 dual match finish...ended the 2002-03 campaign with three wins over Nevada, NMSU, and garnered one of two points versus SMU at the WAC Championships.
2001-02 (Freshman) -- Furdyna shouldered the duties of No. 2 singles...went 13-11 in singles, including an 11-8 mark at No. 2...went 10-14 in doubles...teamed with three different doubles partners -- Dione Gonzales (3-10), Téa Spirta (2-0) and Elizabeth Stone (3-2)...went 6-9 at No. 1 and 2-0 at No. 3 in dual matches in doubles...named the WAC Player of the Week for the week of March 18...played in just one tournament in the fall (Rice Fall Classic) before injuring her wrist...went 3-2 in the fall in singles and 2-3 in doubles, teaming with Elizabeth Stone (1-0) and Adriana Boykova (1-3).
PRIOR TO UTEP -- Earned a No. 4 ranking in Poland in 18-Under doubles and singles in 2000...garnered a Women's Tennis Association (WTA) Tour ranking and ranked 12th among the Polish players on the WTA Tour...an accomplished doubles player, she won the silver medal in doubles at the 2000 Polish Championships...won the bronze in doubles in the Under-18s at the Polish Championships twice, and captured the gold medal in the Under-16s...advanced to the championship finals at the Polish Under-18 Championships in 2001...competed out of Tennis Club Jablonec nad Nisou in Jablonec, Czech Republic, which is also the tennis club of UTEP assistant coach Jana Perkova...graduated from high school in 2000 from II Liceum Oglnoksztalcace in Wroclaw, Poland.
