No. 19 Sun Devil Tennis Matches Up Against Pac-12 Rival Oregon
Wednesday, 03/20/2013

The No. 19 Arizona State Sun Devils (12-1; 2-0 Pac-12) women's tennis team will square off against the University of Oregon in their third Pac-12 match of the year on Friday afternoon in Eugene, Ore. The Ducks will be just the third conference opponent for the Sun Devils who spent their last trip on the road picking up wins against both the University of Colorado and Utah.

ASU will travel to Oregon fresh off of almost two weeks rest in addition to the wins picked up on the road in weekends prior. Senior Jacqueline Cako has played exceptionally well in her recent outings, earning wins in five of the six matches she has competed in.

All three doubles pairings have made their way into the national rankings as well. The pairing of seniors Jacqueline Cako and Nicole Smith hold a spot at No. 31, while Leighann Sahagun and Desirae Krawczyk earn the No. 65 spot. ASU's third pairing, sophomore Joanna Smith and freshman Ebony Panoho cracked the top 80 as well earning the No. 74 spot.

Oregon enters the match touting a 10-3 overall record -- a record that includes two Pac-12 matches, both of them ending less than favorably for the Ducks.

The match is scheduled to start at 12 p.m. PDT at the tennis center on campus at the University of Oregon. Live scoring of the match will be available here.
