No. 21 Sun Devils Seek Pac-12 Recovery Against California, Stanford
Friday, 04/12/2013

After falling in two Pac-12 matches last weekend, the No. 21 Arizona State Sun Devils (15-3, 5-2 Pac-12) women's tennis team welcomes both the University of California and Stanford to the desert for Pac-12 conference play on Friday and Saturday afternoon at the Whiteman Tennis Center in Tempe, Ariz.

ASU is looking to bounce back from just their second and third loss of the season, coming last week at the hands of UCLA and USC. The Sun Devils are 9-2 on the season playing at their on-campus facility.

With the most recent ITA Rankings out, Arizona State senior Jacuqeline Cako moved up two spots to No. 16 in the country. Freshman Desirae Krawczyk, who sat out on Saturday afternoon against UCLA as a precaution to a leg soreness, remains in the top-125 at No. 105.

The Sun Devils also have two ranked doubles pairings -- Jacqueline Cako and Nicole Smith moved up to No. 34, while Leighann Sahagun and Desirae Krawczyk earned a spot at No. 78.

Cal enters the match up slotted at No. 11, while Stanford comes in at No. 13. Both teams are coming in on winning streaks -- Cal is up two matches after beating UCLA and Oregon, while Stanford is riding a three game streak heading into Tucson for a pitstop against Arizona on Friday on the way to Tempe.
