Whitlinger, 6-2, 6-4 to help Cal to 6-0 victory…notched his first intercollegiate win against Christian Jensen of USC at Napa Valley Wine Challenge, defeating him by 6-3, 6-3 mark…advanced to second round of Bulldog Classic by besting Nick Tracy of Cal Poly 7-5, 6-3…after falling in second round, defeated Steve Porter of Cal Poly 8-1 to advance to third round of consolation bracket…in doubles, competed exclusively with fellow freshman Patrick Briaud…the duo registered their first win at Bulldog Classic, downing Nevada’s duo of Anderson and Bitzer by 9-8 mark…advanced to quarterfinals of that tournament by eliminating Taylor and Cohan of San Diego by 8-6 count.
