A really strong competitor that works well within the framework of the team…FALL 2002: Only competed in one event due to tendinitis in his right hand, posting 1-1 record…defeated Cal Poly’s Stacy Meronoff in straight sets to advance to Round of 32 at Omni Hotels Regional Championship…2001-02: Made an immediate impact after joining team in spring…was the Bears’ most consistent performer in the lower singles courts, establishing a 16-3 dual record, including a 9-2 mark at court six…biggest win came against Stanford (2/23)…with team down 3-0, Ledvonova came through with 7-5, 6-0 dominating victory over Phil Sheng at court six to break the ice for Cal, who won match 4-3…won 10 straight matches between 2/17 and 4/6, not losing a match during the entire month of March…all wins during that streak came in straight sets…dominated opponents in 16 wins, only allowed opponent a third set four times…played in only four doubles matches, all but one with senior Chase Exon…pair’s season highlight came with 9-7 win against Jamal Parker and Chris Martin of Illinois at National Team Indoors.
