SAN RAFAEL — The Penguins were no match for Cal State Stanislaus as the Warriors women's tennis team defeated Dominican University, 8-1, on Saturday at the Forest Meadows Tennis Courts.
The Warriors rolled to relatively easy victories at each position, except for the No. 6 singles, for the non-conference win to improve to 4-2 on the season. Cal State Stanislaus won back-to-back matches for the first time this season after defeating Sonoma State on Friday.

Verena Preikschas blanked Dominican's Jessica Miller, 6-0, 6-0 at No. 1 while
Katie Eng took care of Stephanie Lemp at No. 2, 6-1, 6-1. That was just after Preikschas and Eng once again dominated their doubles opponents with a 8-1 win over Miller and Lemp.
Preikschas and Eng now improved to an impressive 7-0 as the No. 1 doubles team.
Vanesa Reibstein and
Brianna McClintock defeated their No. 2 doubles opponent Michele Freitas and Tami Tan, 8-2 while
Heather Cotter and
Lexy Harrington picked up a 8-0 win at No. 3 doubles to give Stanislaus its second doubles sweep this season.
Reibstin, Harrington, McClintock also all won their singles matches at No. 3-4-5 positions, respectively. Heather Cotter had to forfeit the No. 6 singles match to Katie Lewis due to an injury.
Cal State Stanislaus will next be in action on Saturday, March 28, at home for a CCAA match against Cal State L.A.
