 Daniel Karl Rockhill
Daniel Rockhill is entering his 14th year as the Assistant Men’s Tennis Coach at Concordia College during the 2012-13 academic year.

Daniel received his undergraduate degrees from Concordia College in 1990 and graduated from New York Medical College in 1998.  Daniel is a practicing clinician in the field of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation and is recognized by the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA) as a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS).  He is also an active volunteer with the Make-A-Wish Foundation.  In 2009, Daniel was recognized by the ITA as the Eastern Assistant Coach of the Year and in 2010, he not only repeated this distinction, but he was also named the ITA National Assistant Coach of the Year.

While playing for the Clippers, Daniel was ranked 9th nationally in doubles (1990), served as team captain (1989-1990), and is the only player in NCAA Division II history to win both singles and doubles Conference Championships in the New York Collegiate Athletic Conference and the Metropolitan Collegiate Tennis Conference in the same season (1990).

“Daniel is a phenomenal recruiter”, according to Coach Tarangioli.  “His background helps him accurately evaluate prospective student athletes and he is able to attract very talented players to Concordia from all over the world.”

Coach Rockhill continues his family coaching tradition as his father, Dr. Ronald H. Rockhill, guided the Clippers from 1965 - 1968.  In addition, Daniel's mother, Esther Petzke Rockhill, was a decorated athlete and coach for Concordia during the 1960's.  In an effort to recognize her impact on students and athletics, the athletic department annually awards the Esther Petzke Rockhill honor for excellence in women’s athletics.

Daniel also operates his own blog “The lines are still good” which follows the Clippers and other tennis happenings at http://concordiaclipperstennis.blogspot.com.
