The Georgetown Women's Tennis Team is one of the top teams in the Big East Conference. The Hoyas' biggest rivals in this conference are the University of Miami, Notre Dame, Boston College, Rutgers, and Syracuse. The team's Big East Record in 2003 was 3-3-1, with wins over Villanova, Pittsburgh, and University of Connecticut. This fall, the team has played an intense pre-season. They have played tournaments at Bucknell, West Point, Old Dominion, Virginia Tech, and a tournament held at Georgetown. The Hoyas have high hopes of playing in the Big East Conference Championships next spring to compete for a spot in the NCAA tournament.
