General Info: Solid, left-handed junior that made significant improvements from her sophomore to junior seasons • Posted career-highs in both singles and doubles victories last season • One of three seniors on this year’s team • Transferred from the University of Kentucky in the middle of her freshman year • Played periodically in the singles lineup during both her freshman and sophomore campaigns, but concluded the 2005 season with six-straight match appearances in the ACC Championships and the NCAA Tournament.

 

2004-05: Recorded the fourth-highest doubles winning percentage for a season in school history after winning 72.7 percent of her doubles matches with a 16-6 overall doubles record in 2005 • Teamed with Dasha Potapova in the fall and early spring to post an 11-3 mark, including earning appearances in both the Baylor Invitational and ITA All-American Pre-Qualifying finals • Top win for the duo came against Tulsa’s 45th-ranked doubles team of Daniela Muscolina and Carla Zabaleta to open the fall • Won six-consecutive doubles matches with Potapova in the Georgia Tech and Michigan Invitationals • Posted a career-high 16 doubles and 15 singles victories in 2005 • Earned six singles wins during the dual-match season, including three against ACC opponents • Went 9-5 in singles prior to the start of the dual-match season, including winning six-straight matches in the Georgia Tech and Michigan Invitationals • Played one match apiece at both the No. 4 and No. 5 singles slots and earned five wins in the No. 6 position; also played two matches in the No. 2 doubles slot while posting a 3-3 record at No. 3 doubles.

 

2003-04: Played a significant amount of doubles matches during the spring, posting a 5-8 record with Alison Silverio in the No. 3 slot • Top victory of the year came against Alabama’s Mari Muller and Sonja Nikolic in the first round of the NCAA Tournament, 9-7 • Teamed with Silverio to win a pair of ACC matches against Virginia and Maryland • Also advanced to the finals of the Southern Collegiate Championships with Silverio after defeating Georgia State’s Anne Breihotz and Simona Foltyn, 8-3, in the semifinals • Finished with 11 overall doubles victories during the season • Won five singles matches during the year, including a three-set victory over Furman’s Marti Morris, 4-6, 6-1, 6-2, in dual-match play • Advanced to the semifinals of the Southern Collegiate Championships in the fall by defeating Furman’s Shannon Moore, 6-2, 7-5.

 

2002-03: Played in three matches during the spring, all at the No. 6 spot in the lineup • First win as a Yellow Jacket came in a 6-0, 6-1 decision over Furman’s Lauren Welch on March 8 • Helped lead Tech to a victory over No. 24 South Carolina with a 6-2, 2-6, 6-0 victory over the Gamecocks’ Justine Walsh • Played in one doubles match during the regular season, teaming with Mysti Morris at No. 3 against Wake Forest • Also played doubles in both postseason matches, winning her match against Cal Poly with partner Sekita Grant by an 8-4 mark.

 

High School/Junior Tennis: Lettered for four years under coach Andre Flynn at Fayette County High School • Played at the No. 1 singles position in the lineup throughout her prep career • Lost only one match in four years of high school tennis • Also participated in swimming at Fayette County • Captured the Peach State Junior Tennis Championship, a national event, and also won several large USTA sectional events • Was ranked 18th in the nation in the final USTA Girl’s 16 rankings in 2001 • Named the Georgia Tennis Association’s Most Improved Player in 1998 • Member of Fayette County High’s Beta, Interact and Spanish Clubs • Made the honor roll for all four years of high school and graduated in the top 15 percent of her high school class of 500.
