Georgia Tech - Facilities
The Bill Moore Tennis Center, constructed in 1985, has been demolished and is being replaced by the Ken Byers Tennis Complex (KBTC). Work on the site will begin on May 1, 2012 with completion to occur in early January, 2013. The existing three-court indoor tennis facility will be replaced with a state-of-the-art six-court indoor facility. The new steel indoor facility will be located next to Tenth Street, just behind the magnolias. It will also provide an entrance lobby, men's and women's coaches offices, men's and women's locker rooms and a team lounge. The indoor facility will retain the Bill Moore name and provide seating for 232 spectators.

The outdoor part of the complex will consist of six competition courts on the south end of the site and four practice courts located between the indoor facility and the competition courts. A landscaped courtyard area will be added between the practice courts and Fowler Street. Between the Griffin Track and the completion courts, outdoor seating will be constucted that provides a view of both competition on the track and action on the tennis courts. Wheelchair seating will also be provided. Additionally, an East-West Connector will provide a lighted walkway for pedestrians along the track-side of the site to facilitate movement between the North Campus Parking Deck and the McCamish Pavilion.
