Fall, 2004: Spent the early part of the fall recovering from a stress fracture in her foot, but returned to win the doubles title with Kelly Anderson in her first collegiate tournament • Teamed with Lindsey Stauss in the ITA Regionals and together the duo went 1-2 • Recorded a pair of singles wins in the fall, including a 6-4, 6-1 victory over Maryland’s Brooke Rogers in the Georgia Tech Invitational.
High School/Junior Tennis: Won an ITF doubles championship and was also a semifinalist and quarterfinalist in two more ITF competitions • Captured the Netherlands Under-16 Indoor Championship • Attended Leidsche Ryn College in Utrecht and then De Klim before entering Georgia Tech • Finished first in her class at Leidsche Ryn.
Personal: Full name is Esther Monique van Londen • Born April 28, 1986 • Daughter of Aad and Monique van Londen • Has three older siblings named Arleen, Jitske, and Femke • Father played recreational tennis when she first became interested • Lists her hobbies as basketball, music, soccer and almost any other sports • Lists her heroes as Inge de Bruijn, Roger Federer, Johan Cruijf and Muhammed Ali • Says her most memorable nonathletic moment was graduating from high school and being accepted at Georgia Tech • Majoring in management at Tech.
