At the Honolulu Masters Tournament held at the Oahu Club in Hawai‘i Kai, HPU’s Hendrik Bode won the Honolulu Masters over Sea Warrior teammate Daniel Luedi, 6-2, 6-2.

The tournament featured individual competition, with members of the HPU men’s tennis team competing with some of Hawai‘i’s top players.

Bode and Luedi had stellar seasons for the Sea Warriors this past Spring. Bode posted a 14-2 overall singles record and won West Region Player of the Year honors. Luedi, a newcomer to the HPU tennis scene last season, won a team high 18 singles wins.

Bode and Luedi will be back this Spring to join the Sea Warriors for the 2009 season.
