Johnson C. Smith University is an NCAA Division II member of the Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association and currently competes in the East Region of the NCAA. Next year, the Golden Bulls from Charlotte,  North Carolina will be in as yet unnamed NCAA Region.. The Golden Bulls are riding a 47 straight conference winning streak in the CIAA. Top players are Charlotte's Christopher Lee, Florence (SC)'s Michael White, Atlanta's Atiba Wing, Washington (DC)'s Justin Gilbert, Rochester's Larry Holmes, Jr. and Atlanta's Antrone Bohler. The Golden Bulls have won three straight CIAA championships.
