Elizabeth comes to Kennesaw State as a true freshman and had an impressive fall season for the Owls. Puch reached the semifinals of the Chick-Fil-A Tennis Championships and won her third place match in her first collegiate match last October. At the GC&SU Fall Championships she was runner-up in the "B" Flight Championship. She is fresh off a victory in the North Harbour Open Women's Championships in New Zealand where she won the title 6-4, 6-2 after trailing in the first set 2-4. Elizabeth was a Junior and Intermediate Champion and was national runner-up at the Maori 16 & 18 Championships. She was the 2001 North Harbour Women's Champion in 2001. Elizabeth finished runner-up in singles, doubles and mixed doubles in the same event in 2002.

Elizabeth's parents are Lynn and David Venus...has two sisters, Sarah Jane (21), teammate Laura (19), and a brother, Michael (14)...her favorite athletes are tennis players Marat Safin and Serena Williams, while her favorite team is her native New Zealand All Blacks...her favorite food is Vogels Toast...her favorite vacation spot is Pakiri Beach, New Zealand...Lizzie enjoys listening to music, soccer and netball...she has yet to decide on a major at Kennesaw State.
