Linfield College - Facilities
Tennis CenterLinfield features some of the finest small-college tennis facilities in the Northwest. Six outdoor, lighted courts were built in 1994 adjacent to Maxwell Field and the Rutschman Field House.

The Rutschman Field House gives the tennis teams the flexibility of playing and practicing indoors or out, depending on what the Northwest's unpredictable weather is doing at the time. During January and February, the baseball and softball teams can hone their skills during spring training, using the field house for batting practice and drills. The track team often uses the field house to practice fundamentals during the winter. The football team can even practice indoors if ever a layer of snow blankets the playing field.Tennis Center

The multi-purpose field house contains three tennis courts, baseball and softball batting cages and a pole vault pit. It also houses dressing rooms as well as a north-side ticket booth. With 26,600 square feet of rubberized playing surface, the field house is used as an indoor practice facility during inclement weather.

The field house is named in honor of retired Linfield athletic director, baseball and football coach Ad Rutschman, and his wife, Joan, who served as athletic secretary and ticket manager for 27 years.

The Linfield Athletics History Room, a permanent exhibit detailing the history and evolution of Linfield athletics, occupies a spacious foyer area at the main entrance to the field house.
