We have a good, solid tennis program that has been improving every year achieving a regional ranking each of the last three years in the Atlantic South division of D-III. We are in a great, competitive conference (SCAC) and play several ranked teams. We have a new tennis center, and will finish phase two in 2009.

I have taught tennis for over 35 years including over 10 All- Americans. I was nationally  ranked #5 in the USTA for 6 years (3 yrs. in the 35's and  3 yrs. in the 40's). I played college tennis at Vanderbilt University and was captain and MVP my senior year. I have been selected GA Professional of the Year 4 times ans Sr. Player of the year twice. My five year regular season record at Oglethorpe University is 55-33.

We return 5 of our top six and added two new players who will help us. We finished ranked #16 in the Atlantic South Division of D-3 and 5th in this tough conference.  If you want a great education, play college tennis in a great conference, and be (but not downtown) in a major city, then Oglethorpe University will appeal to you.
