As a Junior (Fall 2006)
Started the fall season playing at the ITA Regionals-Qualifying draw...After a first-round bye, lost to LMU’s Nick Perez in the tiebreaker, 11-9...At the Southern California Intercollegiates, lost in the first round of qualifying.

As a Sophomore (2005-06)
Kicked off the year by participating in the Sherwood Invitational...Compiled a 4-1 record at the No. 6 position, winning four straight before recording his first loss...Played in his first match against Saint Mary’s winning in three sets...Also helped Pepperdine to victories after getting singles wins against Cal Poly, Loyola Marymount and Pacific...Only loss of the season was against Princeton in the tiebreaker.

As a Freshman (2004-05)
Used redshirt.

High School
A 2003 graduate from Aldenham School...Acquired the rating of 1.5 by the Lawn Tennis Association before arriving at Pepperdine...Member of the Herfordshire junior county cup team...Played on the national club league for the Batchwood Tennis Club...Also played hockey and ran cross country.

Oliver Hyams was born on January 26, 1986 to Gary and Angela Hyams...Has a twin sister, Zoe, who plays lacrosse at Bristol in England.
