Eva Dickes begins her junior season at Pepperdine... She is one of two sophomores on the Waves' roster... She came to Pepperdine from Germany... She ultimately chose to join the Waves program after weighing the option of attending Fresno State.

2004 SEASON: Went 10-11 in singles competition of Pepperdine competing in the five and six slots . . . Compiled a 18-7 doubles record in the 2004 season . . . Won both doubles matches in NCAA tournament, defeating teams from BYU and UCLA

HIGH SCHOOL/JUNIOR HIGHLIGHTS: She had a high school GPA of 3.5 at her high school in Koblenz, Germany... She was ranked the #10 German junior in 1999 and 2000... Finished second in German Junior Championship in 1999... Finished third in German Junior Championship in 2000

PERSONAL: Eva was born on May 20, 1984... She chose to attend Pepperdine because of its "excellent tennis program, great coach, good academic reputation and beautiful location"... The first thing that caught her eye at Pepperdine was the massive amount of stairs... Her childhood hero was Steffi Graf... She says the "thought of winning" motivates her the most
