Coach Gifford: Forehand is a weapon...getting used to playing on the hard courts after playing the European clay courts...has a very positive attitude, always trying to improve herself, but she understands her limitations...won many important matches for us last year: Rutgers, Seton Hall, Temple...has high confidence in singles...very bright...I anticipate playing her higher this year.
Freshman Year: Notched the best winning percentage on the team, .548, after going 19-13 in singles and 15-15 in doubles for a 34-28 overall record...earned a 10-8 record at No. 4 singles, and won all three matches she played at No. 5...held a 13-9 dual match record and was 6-4 in tournament play...primary doubles partner was Jessica Schlosser...the pair earned a 5-5 mark at No. 3 doubles and a 4-7 at No. 2...the tandem went 5-2 in tournament play...won the Flight B doubles championship with Schlosser at the Maryland Tournament...her come-from-behind singles win lifted the team to a 4-3 dual match win over Seton Hall...named to the Syracuse Athletic Director's Honor Roll for fall and spring semesters.
High School and Age Group: Nationally ranked No. 2 in Norway's 18-under division...national 18-under singles
champion...member of the national champion teams from 1998-2001 with Holmenkollen Tennis Klubb.
Personal: Born July 15, 1982 in Olso, Norway...daughter of Harold Holte and Ellen Marie Bech...majoring in pre-med in the College of Arts & Sciences.
