Former University of Miami All-American Megan Bradley and doubles partner Kristi Miller, a sophomore at Georgia Tech, advanced to the second round of play in the U.S. Open with a 6-4, 6-2 victory over Columbia's Catalina Castano and Spain's Laura Pous Tio in the opening round.
The American tandem will face the eighth-seeded duo of American Corina Morariu and Patty Schnyder of Switzerland in the second round this weekend.
