PITTSFORD, N.Y. - The men's tennis team wrapped up the fall portion of its 2008-09 schedule with a 9-0 victory at St. John Fisher College on Thursday.
Rochester had four double winners. The Yellowjackets took all six singles matches in straight sets and won the three doubles matches, 8-2, 8-4, 8-3.
Ryan Kovaleski won at #1 singles (1 and 2) and teammed with Brian Bowman to win, 8-2, at first doubles. Bowman won at #2 singles (4 and 2). Bennett Peterson won, 2 and 2, at #3 singles. Brian Schmeer won, 2, and 0, at #5 singles. Peterson and Schmeer won, 8-4, at #2 doubles.
Patrick Sheehan posted a 7-5, 6-1 win at #4 singles and Alex Magill was a 6-4, 6-1 winner at #6. The third doubles team was Matt Volkov and Dan Barbash. They won, 8-3.
