San Marcos, Calif. - Chargers defeat Palomar for first time in eight years. Charger head coach Jeff Benito was pleased with the win saying, "This was a good all around team effort today and it shows how hungry our team is to prove themselves.” Sophomore Ben Thompson-Star started the match off on the right foot for Cypress with a win in singles and followed up with a win in doubles.

Thompson-Star led off with a win in the number two spot followed quickly by wins by freshmen Derek Porter, Greg Druckenmiller, and Samir Haikel. Cypress quickly clinched the match win with a win in the number one spot by Sam Tozer. Tozer overcame a second set loss to win in a tie-breaker for the third set.
