Caroline Newman came back from a 4-2 deficit in third set to defeat Nittooli Wilkins to seal a 4-3 come from behind victory over Minnesota. With the cougars down 3-2 in the overall match, Nina Burgoon pushed the score to 3-all by defeating Jackie Sperling at number five singles. Burgoon was down 3-0 in the third but stormed back to a 6-4 victory leaving Newman vs. Wilkins to decide the match. Newman clinch the five hour match with a 6-7,6-3,7-5 victory. This marked her third clinching victory. The cougars improve to 15-3 on the season.
