Waipahu, HI (3/23/09) – At Central Oahu Regional Park, the HPU men’s tennis teams topped UH-Hilo. 7-2.
With the win HPU improved to 9-1 on the season with their win over the nation’s 24th ranked team. HPU, currently ranked first in the West Region and sixth in the nation, lost in only one and five singles.
Nikola Petrov and Daniel Luedi won in one doubles over Kevin Tamura and Laurent Colombo, 8-4; and Petrov and Anton Samuilau won in third game pro sets in fifth and fourth singles, respectively.
HPU and UH-Hilo face off again tomorrow, March 23 at Central Oahu Regional Park. Start time is set at 9:00 a.m.
