Weymouth, MA - The Boston College men's tennis team split a pair matches this weekend, picking up a victory against non-conference opponent Villanova 7-0 and dropping an ACC match to the University of Maryland 6-1.

In the morning match against the Terps, Sophomore Erik Kreutzer gave the Eagles their only point in singles play, picking up a victory in the No. 3 spot with a (6-3, 2-6, 1-0 (10-6)) defeat of challenger Nickolai Nielsen. In the late match, BC swept the Villanova Wildcats 7-0 picking up victories in all singles matches and sweeping all three doubles matches.

Nolan picked up a win in the No. 1 position after dropping his second set to win in three, (6-1, 3-6, 6-0).

Freshman Akash Muppidi and sophomores Adam Davison and Brendan Wong all picked up victories in straight sets at the No. 2 and No. 5 and 6 positions.

Freshman Alex Skinner and Senior Alex Rastorgouev in the No. 3 and No. 4 positions both rallied to win after dropping their second sets to win in three.
