LAKE FOREST, Ill. (Apr. 4, 2009)-- The North Central College men's tennis squad extended its win streak to three after defeating Lake Forest College (Ill.) 5-4 in a non-conference dual match.

In doubles, Sam Sweeney and Matt Boguslawski earned the 8-2 win over Alex Presman and Jason Wiznitzer in No.1 action for the team's only doubles victory. The win was the duo's sixth straight win, improving their season mark to 10-3.

In singles, Sweeney and Boguslawski continued to take care of business, each earning individual victories, playing in the No. 1 and No. 2 positions, respectively. Sweeney posted a 6-2, 6-1 win over Presman while Boguslawski needed three sets to retire Jon Flaksman, 4-6, 7-5, 10-5. In No.4 singles, Josh Clay won his third straight match, cruising to the 6-1, 6-3 win while Ben Youel continued to impress, winning 7-5, 6-1 over Nick Cantor. The win was Youel's third straight, improving his season record to 5-1.

With the win, North Central improves to 8-5 while the Foresters fall to 7-2. The Cardinals return to the court on Monday, facing Concordia University Chicago at 3 p.m. at Naperville North where the team will look to remain unbeaten within the city limits.
