The Slugs sailed into the final 8 with a comanding 5-0 win over Claremont in the finals of the NCAA Regional hosted in Santa Cruz!  In a dominating performance the Slugs won 8-4 at both two and three doubles to set the tone for the match.  At one doubles down 6-6 love fourty senior Ilya Gendelman dropped two aces and an unreturnable to dig out of the hole which led to the hold and break for the doubles sweep.  In singles we won five of the first six sets and serve for the other set.  Ilya Gendelman put the Slugs up 4-0 with a 6-1,6-3 win at four singles.  Marc Vartabedian iced it with a 6-2,6-1 win as six singles.  When the match was called Colin Mark-Griffin was up as set and serving 5-2 and Max Ortiz was up a set and a break.
