The UTEP tennis team dismantled San Jose State, 7-0, on the road Friday afternoon. The Miners improve to 12-5 on the campaign, with a school-record-setting seven of those victories via the shutout.

It was a dominant effort, with the Orange and Blue claiming every match contested. Five of the wins in singles were of the straight-set variety, with Weronika Bloczynska's 6-1, 6-1, trouncing of Olivia Marshall at No. 1 setting the tone.

Bloczynska was also victorious in doubles action, as she and fellow senior Megan Pritchard held off Amber Silverson/Kerri Kummer, 8-6. Marina DeLuca/Vicky Michaud were perfect at No. 3 doubles against Silvana Dukic/Jennifer Williams (8-0) while Martina Trierweiler/Carolina DeLuca downed Anna Guzman/Marshall, 8-4, at the second spot.

 In singles action, Pritchard cruised past Anna Guzman, 6-1, 6-1, at No. 4 while Marina DeLuca dispatched Kummer at No. 3 to the tune of 6-3, 6-0.

Fuentes handled Jennifer Williams, 6-4, 6-2, at No. 5 singles, and Carolina DeLuca secured an impressive victory against Dukic (7-5, 6-0) at No. 2.

Michaud ensured the flawless outing by knocking off Sanda Hadzisabic, 2-6, 6-3, 1-0 (10-8) at No. 6 singles.

The Miners will wrap up the lengthy road swing by challenging Santa Clara at 10 a.m. MT on Saturday.
