The defending BIG EAST Champion University of South Florida men's tennis team wrapped up day two of competition at the University of Virginia Invitational on Saturday.

Peter Frank kicked things off for the Bulls in the A1 singles flight quarterfinals with his match against Sanam Singh of the University of Virginia. Frank fell to Singh 6-3, 7-1 and finished with a seventh place finish in the A1 singles flight. Junior Lucas Jovita competed against Jonathan Wolff of Wake Forest in the A2 singles flight on Saturday. Jovita moved on to the semifinals after beating Wolff 7-5, 6-4. Jovita met Jarmere Jenkins of the University of Virginia in the A2 singles flight semifinals. Jovita snatched the first set of the match but in the end fell to Jarmere 3-6, 6-0, 6-0. Jovita earned a third place finish in the A2 singles flight.

Senior Thomas Estrada also competed in singles action for the Bulls on Saturday. Estrada played against Santiago Villegas of the University of Virginia in the B singles flight quarterfinals and Estrada lost to Villegas 7-6, 6-0.

Jovita and Estrada continued their doubles play action on Saturday in the semifinals of the A2 doubles flight with their match against Drew Courtney and Lee Singer of the University of Virginia. It was a close match between the two teams but in the end Jovita and Estrada lost to Courtney and Lee 9-7. Jovita and Estrada claimed third place in the A2 doubles flight.

Day three at the University of Virginia Invitational is set to start Sunday at 9 a.m.
