The University of Louisville women's tennis team's recruiting class is gaining national notice as the Cardinals earned a No. 28 ranking by Tennisrecruiting.net.

"I am extremely happy with this recruiting class and to have this class ranked 28th in the country is just a bonus. I honestly feel like the class should be ranked more like 19 or 20 but that really doesn't matter. They have to go out and win matches now to prove that they are better than the ranking," said U of L head coach Mark Beckham.

Beckham is particularly pleased that this class all have experience winning against high level competition and are all elite level students.

"This class represents the core of this team and when you add Amelia Harris and Sarah Miller, the two sophomores, the team becomes basically brand new. That could mean some growing pains early on but the talent will be the best it has ever been here at Louisville," said Beckham. "These are the kind of student athletes I want to bring into the program every year, they will definitely represent the University of Louisville very well. I think this group will raise the level of the program to where we are consistently competing for Big East Championships and a NCAA bid every year."

This class includes:

Louise Noe- Denmark

Mandy Brown- Mequon, Wisconsin

Kaysara Mandy- Seffner, FL

Stefanie Villajuan- La Mirada, CA
