Liberty’s Jordan Jenkins captured the championship of the Flight B singles this morning, at the prestigious Billie Jean King National Tennis Center Women’s Collegiate Invitational.

Playing at the National Tennis Center, site of the U.S. Open, Jenkins defeated No. 2 seed, Elizabeth Epstein of Yale, 6-3, 6-3, to claim the 16-player bracket title.

Jenkins has not lost a singles match this fall, going unbeaten in 12 matches. The junior defeated three of the four seeds in the tournament, No. 4 seed Rachel Salontz of Princeton, No. 1 seed Casey Herzberg of Brown and Epstein, during her run to the title.

Jenkins and the Lady Flames tennis team will conclude their fall schedule, Oct. 22-25 at the ITA Mideast Regional Indoors in Blacksburg, Va.
