HPU's Sebastian Bader wins in singles and doubles

Claremont, CA (2/13/10) – In the second day of its mainland road trip, the HPU men’s tennis team defeated Division III #4 Claremont Mudd-Scripps College, 6-3. HPU improves to 3-1 on the season with the Stags falling to 1-1.
The Sea Warriors took control of the match after a clean sweep in doubles play. Nikola Petrov and Dominic Mclusky won in No.1 doubles, defeating the pair of Thomas Keiffer and Mikey Lim, 8-6. Daniel Luedi and Anton Samuilau topped Robert Erani and Ronald Wu in the two match, and Sebastian Bader and Aleksandar Markov defeated Mac Cahill and Russell Brockett at the three.
In singles action, Claremont took the No.1 and No.2 matches, with the Sea Warriors winning games three through five. Markov topped Cahill, 6-1, 6-4, at the three, Luedi defeated Wu at No.4 singles, 6-2, 6-0, and Bader won at the five with a 6-4, 7-5 win over Brockett.
HPU will have a day off before they take on Azusa Pacific University on Monday, February 15. Start time in Azusa, CA is set for 11:00 a.m. Pacific Time.
