Final Stats

THIBODAUX, La. - The Nicholls State University rallied behind senior Sanja Stanojcic who was playing her final home match of her collegiate career, and got a 6-1 victory on Tuesday afternoon over Southern in the Colonel Tennis Complex.

The Colonels (12-8) dominated the doubles point, winning all three matches easily. Getting a shutout victory in doubles was the duo of sophomore Sumana Kalyanasundaram and Stanojcic as they posted an 8-0 win over Demetria Woods and Alicia Snow.

With the doubles point in hand, both teams broke off in singles play and got victories in all spots of the lineup with the exception of one to cruise to victory.

Both the men's and women's teams will travel to Alcorn State on Wednesday. First serve in those matches is set for 2 p.m.
