SPARKILL, N.Y. (Sept. 14, 2010) - NYIT women's tennis faced its third straight loss Tuesday afternoon at St. Thomas Aquinas. The Lady Spartans blanked the Bears, 9-0. With the loss, NYIT dropped to 0-3 on the season.
The Bears put up a good fight in singles action with two taking their first sets to seven games. Alexana Gaspari was defeated by Danielle Bicknell 7-5, 6-1 in No. 2 singles, while Sarah Vivonetto fell 7-5, 6-2 in No. 4 singles.
NYIT returns to action on Thursday, Sept. 16 against Molloy College. First serve is scheduled for 3 p.m. in Rockville Center, N.Y.
